Lisa A. Shephard 1974-2017

Lisa A. Shephard, 42, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2017 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born on September 7, 1974 in Utica, a daughter of Joseph and Mary Lou Brown Shephard and received her education in Chadwicks and Sauquoit schools, graduating from Sauquoit with the class of 1992.
Lisa was employed at one time with the Masonic Care Community in their activities department.
Everyone who met her, loved her. She was a person who could light up a room with her bubbly personality and put a smile on everybody’s face.
Lisa will remain forever in the hearts of her family; her daughters Lindsay Shephard and her children Gianna and Nathan Kerber, her daughter Gabriella Haynes, her son Matthew Coiro, her sisters; Barbara and Edwin Pett and Melissa and Mark Glenn, her brothers; Joseph and Melissa Shephard, Sean Shephard and Andrew Shephard, her aunts and uncles; Cheryl and Domenic Mantoan, Robin and Angelo Brindisi, Linda and Jim McLeod, Richard Shephard, Timothy Shephard and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lisa’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 1 at 10:30 at St. Patrick’s-St. Anthony’s Church in Chadwicks. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Clayville.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St., Sauquoit.
In Lisa’s memory, please consider donations to the family to benefit her children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
