The Smith Funeral Home was established as the J. Donald Smith Funeral Home in 1955 by J. Donald Smith in Chadwicks. It operated there until 1970 when it moved to its present facility at 3022 Oneida Street in Sauquoit. In 1976, Donald’s son, David, joined the firm and in 1998 the business was purchased by David and his wife, Lori, thereby continuing a tradition of compassionate and caring service by the Smith family.

A complete renovation of the facilities took place in 2000, offering families up-to-date and comfortable surroundings.
